Hey y’all! I'm so excited that you're here! I wanted my first post on here to be the reason why I started this blog, and I want to keep it short and simple. I want to put out the best quality content that I can, meaning I want to maintain the image that I feel God wants me to maintain. Colossians 3:23 says “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” The work God has me doing here could impact eternity. It’s just important to keep in mind that we are working for the Lord, especially using our platform to help others to come to Him. We are His representatives to those outside of the church. People will judge how you act as a Christian. They will then say that the God you serve isn’t good. That the God you serve isn’t who they, as a person with “good morals”, morally correct. That the God we serve is old-fashioned. The issue with this judgement is that they are using an imperfect being to make a judgement of a perfect God. They are using the seen to make a judgement of the unseen. They are using our words to make judgement of Someone they’ve never heard.
So, it leads me back to this question: should Christians care about their image? My answer would be yes. However, we can get so caught up in trying to be perfect that we stop being who God called us to be. The image you convey to others should be God through you. God has crafted us each so uniquely, all with different strengths and weaknesses. So if you’re bubbly, be God to others by being bubbly. If you’re a little shy, be God to others while being shy. If you're a singer, be God to others using your voice. Be the way God created you so He can shine through you. In truth, we also need to have a solid relationship with God before we start to worry about what others think of us. If there’s a problem in your relationship with God, you need to prioritize it over the opinion of others. We need to realize that our relationship with the Lord is something of continual growth. It's not just a one and done type of situation. This may seem silly, but making this growth your priority could truly show those around you how real that God is. How you can feel safe to come to Him. How He can heal you.
My advice to you is to keep being who God made you to be, keeping in mind that while doing this, He should shine through you. Help bless others the way that God has blessed you.
In my relationship with God, I feel this is one way He has called me to share the Good News: through words. I’ve always been shy and get anxious quite easily but writing words in a journal or typing on a keyboard has been so freeing to me. Posting things online makes me feel safe and I enjoy doing it, which is why I want to start with a clean slate. I want to be honest and vulnerable with you. I want to put my best work forward because I’m not doing this for my purposes: I’m doing this for the Lord. Let’s go through this week praising God for all the ways He has blessed us and the ways He will continue to bless us in the future!

Love this, Mia! Keep up the awesome work and shine your LIGHT!
